Award Presentation & IndustryConnect Tech Showcase 2020-01-17
The 3 teams - Champion, Most Innovative Idea Award, and Best Presentation Award received awards presented by Dr. Alan Wong, Director of Silicon Valley Center For Global Studies, San Jose State University on Jan 17, 2020.
The teams also showcased their winning projects at IndustryConnect Tech Showcase at Hong Kong Science Park during HKETA annual dinner. They received a lot of feedback from the guests for their projects, and will continue further research & development with IFF mentorship support.
The winning team will join SJSU Global Program for further development and showcases.

NICE Conference & Expo at Phoenix USA 2019-11-20
Ms. Monica Leung, Chairperson of IFF2019, has a joint presentation with SJSU at NICE Conference & Expo at Phoenix USA. She presented the IFF projects to the attendants from industry, government, and academic.
Mentorship Programme KickOff 2019-10-12
Top 5 school teams visit Arrow Lab at Hong Kong Science Park on Oct 12, 2019. Arrow Lab provides facilities and equipment support for school teams to work on their school projects. Schools teams also meet their mentors to discuss about their project for enhacement and prototyping. School teams will continue to meet their assigned mentors, and will present on 16 Nov, 2019 at Hong Kong Science Park.

Mentors Judging Session 2019-09-30
Mentors gathered on 30 Sept, 2019 night to judge the submitted school project ideas. The top 5 teams who received the highest marks will join the mentorship program.
Training Workshop #2 2019-09-21
We are glad to have Ms. Monica LEUNG, OC Chairlady to deliver arduino training workshop on Sept 21, 2019 at VTC STEM Education Centre. Monica provides training on using open source hardware Arduino to build real life applications. The workshop is handson, and provide lots of insight for students to code and interact with different sensors.
Training Workshop #1 2019-08-03
On Aug 03, 2019, we have our first training workshop held at City University Hong Kong. The training working includes coding training and a brief introduction on cybersecurity.
In the coding workshop, students learned basic coding and robotics skills with the STEM Toy Sphero BOLT, sponsored by REVOIT, our STEM Education Toy Sponsor. Students learned through different challenging exercises, prepared by our committee. In the second part, students also worked with micro:bit, a popular coding platform for design & technology.
Last but not least, Mr. Calvin Kam, HKETA Youth Member, also provided short introduction on cyber-security awareness, which is supported and recognized by our premium supporting organization, San Jose State University (SJSU), Silicon Valley Centre for Global Studies (SVCGS).
Idea Generation Workshop 2019-07-13
We are glad to invite Mr. Calvin Lau, from Lingnan University's Office Of Service Learning to deliver idea generation workshop on July 13, 2019 at City University Hong Kong. Calvin shared useful design thinking methodology with interactive and interesting examples. Our participants enjoyed the workshop, and the content is useful for participants to define their idea for submission to the competition.
The second part of the workshop is about cybersecurity. Mr. Calvin Kam, HKETA Youth Member, provided basic knowledge and practical training on cyber-security awareness, which is supported and recognized by our premium supporting organization, San Jose State University (SJSU), Silicon Valley Centre for Global Studies (SVCGS). The training content is informative with different activities to let students experience about password setting and message encryption.
Information Day 2019-06-29
HKETA Youth is glad to announce HKETA Annual STEM Competition - Innovate For Future at the information session held on Jun 29, 2019 at City University Hong Kong. This briefing session aims to provide information about the competition, and we are glad to understand that many schools are interested to join the competition.
Our supporting organization , Johnny KWONG from VTC STEM Education Centre also joined the briefing session to support.
