Technology Startup Stream – New Stream for IFF2025
IFF2025 will extend a new stream for startup team of Hong Kong SAR region joining our competition event in 2025. Details for submission requirement and related information have addressed in this page.
Event Notice (for Startup Stream Only)
All the startup company teams will register and submit their business proposal through our below online page. When the submission process is completed, startup company teams will be acknowledged by an email confirmation with a team ID.

Submission Guideline
- Startup team submission requirements: Hong Kong business registration; company established within the past 7 years.
- Two-year business plan of 10 to 15 pages in PowerPoint format, including company overview, product/service overview, competitive analysis, target market and business model, financial plan, etc.
- Business plan submission requirement by online basis at our IFF webpage.
Pitching & Judging Requirement

- Innovation & Creativity 25%

- Market performance and competitive analysis 35%
- Financial performance and forecast 15%
- Quality 15%
- Each judge is allocated virtual funding of US$1 million to invest in no fewer than two teams. The team receiving the highest total investment wins the competition.
- Pitching format
- 10 min for PowerPoint presentation and 15 min Q&A session

Awards Ceremony
The Awards Ceremony for this startup stream will be held on our HKETA annual dinner at Jan 2026. The Champion, 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner up will be invited for awards presentation by our guests during the annual dinner.
Showcase Program at Annual Dinner
- The Champion Team must purchase at least one seat and will receive one complimentary seat for the HKETA Annual Dinner.
- The Champion Team will present their product or service at the HKETA Annual Dinner.
